He played in the Canada university system for the University of Alberta. His older brother signed with Calgary a few years back.

He was heavily scouted by the Oilers, he was first mentioned by Oilers colour man and U of Alberta alumnus Bob Stauffer 3 seasons ago. Might have signed after last season, if there was a season.

He is big, fast, NHL calibre shot, good passer, good skill. Very noticeable whenever he was on the ice. Not a sure thing, but he has very real potential as a late bloomer. Right shot Center, potentially.

Will be an interesting follow next season.

I knew i recognized the "Philp" name from somewhere. Luke has been doing pretty well in Stockton this year, maybe Noah does just as well in Bakersfield.

His numbers aren’t eye-popping, but they rolled 4 lines and he was out for personal reasons and missed more than half the games, so he has numbers that don’t stand out, unless you take them in context.

The last game he played was for the National Championship and he had 2 goals and an apple. He was involved in at least 15 high danger scoring chances (no exaggeration) and missed on an early breakaway, where he undressed the defender and then missed the net trying to go bar down. If he had scored on that play the replay would have been shown all over the world. It was quite a play.
