Let’s use some logic here. He played awesome before tearing his ACL. Everyone saw it. The bruins prior to this season signed two left shot D to three year deals, to compliment grzelcyk who was already locked up. Then they went out and got another left shot D, and signed him for 8 years. They’re known for hating the idea of playing guys on their off-side. He’s an unrestricted free agent. Why on earth would he stay?

Faber is not available under any circumstances. Kings still have his rights for at least 2 more years before they have to worry about losing him to the NCAA UFA exception.

i mean he probably doesnt but i would be doing my damndest to resign him. idc that they have grz/lindholm locked up. trade forbort/reilly and put zboril at 3ld hes better than forbort already.

edit: i think zboril might be better than forbort on one leg right now.

So, Don Sweeney moves heaven and earth to free up room to get zboril to sign. Put yourself in zboril’s shoes. Looks like you have a third pair role locked up, with virtually no chance of getting into the top four barring injuries.

Or, you could go to another team that isn’t so deep on the back end, probably get more money, and get an opportunity to show that you’re a guy that can play top four. That’s a no brainer from a career standpoint.

like i said, he probably doesnt sign here. no need to be a dick about it. hopeful fan of the team that doesnt want to watch a solid player leave. that entire first round draft class is going to be gone this offseason.

How was i a dick?

If you read that post, which is nothing but laying out my logic for why i don’t think zboril will consider boston, and assume i’m being a dick…that’s a you problem. Is making coherent points dickish behavior now?

nah just the way you put it sarcastically was dickish. doesnt matter hes probably gone anyways. kind of a moot point. if they get a pick back great, they probs wont though. like i said hopeful bruins can still bring him back.

You can't make draft picks conditional upon a player's signing any more, and we aren't trading Brock Faber in any event.

Agreed. Hope he has a girlfriend that really likes boston.

There was also zero sarcasm in that post, or anything that could be construed as sarcasm.
