insane super unlikely free agency ideas

Description
I decided yesterday to challenge myself and see if I can fix the coyotes to at the very least be decent next season. turns out even with almost $40M in cap availability this off season, its really, REALLY hard to do. these are the most bonkers scenarios in free agency I could think of that are still likely so impossible so please do not bother taking this seriously and bashing me in the comments because whatever you gotta say, I already know and agree LOL, the Coyotes are doomed for seasons to come unless they blow their money like this which they won't do, nor would these guys WANT to go there unless its for that much or more. also I added that many picks to the pretty impossible leafs trade due to NTC's cuz when you're asking a cap strained team like Toronto to retain I feel like they'd want a bunch of decent no money coming back compensation LOL

Yeah, the leafs arnt retaining a dime om holl, because he's paid less than he's worth and mrazek would be cheaper to buy out.

Leafs would easily do Mrzarek and Holl for nothing returned, but retention doesn't make sense for the Leafs.
Arizona shouldn't be giving firsts away for one year of Kane. Oh, and Kane doesn't waive either.

I just can't see them making a FA splash or a decent trade for one. besides if the Leafs wanna get rid of Mrazek its cheaper to buy him out honestly

that's what the price would be though for a player like Patrick Kane, he's got another 80+ point season under his belt right now and giving him up truly kicks off Chicagos rebuild. and he has a NMC not a NTC, its less restrictive and allows them to trade him wherever without consultation, he just can't be sent down to the minors or anything he stays on an NHL roster

I'll disagree on NMC. Yes, he can't be sent to the minors as you say, but NMC also includes NTC.

I just looked it up, and you're right, my bad LOL. all these years I thought an NMC was less restrictive than an NTC but apparently its the opposite 💀

I mean Kane certainly declines, but Chicago would be foolish not to accept two lottery picks, especially since he's a UFA.

he is still an 80+ point player, I'd imagine anyone in that range is worth 2 or more firsts from any team
