To be honest, the Dumba trade isn't bad. Durzi is cheap and having a really good year as a tough and physical defenceman.

Look, we can talk later about shooting percentages and regression and what not, but there's no way in hell the Wild would have to cap dump a guy wearing an 'A' after he literally has the best season of his career. The leadership makes it unlikely they move him, but a physical winger who can score 15-20 goals in a year is something every GM would make a solid, real offer for. it's a very, very bad deal.

It's strange seeing one of the silliest trades I've seen round these parts right after a pretty reasonable Dumba trade. You can probably slide Durzi into RD3 with that deal and then trade that affordable Kulikov contract for futures and give yourself some room to maneuver around the deadline if you need.
