Rangers accept. Sucks to see Othmann go but it's worthwhile.

No thanks from the Rangers for 1 year of Kane.

I dont think those Debrincat or Strome deals make sense for the Hawks. Those are relatively young players who are playing great hockey right now, but I can't say the packages you're getting for either treat them like theyre at the top of their value. I like Alex Holtz, but Shakir has a lot of concerns in his game and I dont think the first round pick is enough to bridge the gap for giving up a surefire superstar for a guy who at his best could be.. Alex Debrincat. Strome is playing better than a 2nd round pick so i'm only trading him if you can get more than a 2nd round pick or the money hes asking for is wild (which shouldnt matter if Kane and Toews are gone).
Sean Monahan is too much of a gamble for me. I have absolutely no clue what happened to him but he looks horrible and I dont get it.
Kubalik has to get you more than a 4th, if you cant get more than a 4th then he shouldve been traded when he was worth 2 2nds.

Kane trade? I think you've got a quality starting package of 2 B+ prospects and a late teens 1st, but I also think that this package should include a few C prospects/mid round picks. We certainly need quantity in our draft room and I wouldn't trade Kane for just 3 assets, Id always try to add a few extra mediocre ones with some upside, even if it isn't a ton of upside.

Sens don’t need Strome, but if you’re trading DeBrincat for a package like that, I’d offer our 2022 1st + Greig (not a guy I want to move but I would for cat, good centre prospect 1.6+ ppg in the W who plays all situations and is a leader) + a good young D (Brannstrom or JBD? Not sure if Chicago needs LD or RD at this point honestly) + another couple decent pieces (2022 2nd, Jarventie, Boucher, Crookshank, Guennette, etc.). I feel like a 5 piece package would be a good starting point, might be willing to go higher (or lower) depending on where the 2022 1st ends up

If I were CGY I would accept that trade, but not sure that helps their own cap situation.

Not trading Othman+ for just one year of Kane. Othman is a stud that is absolutely dominating, can play both sides (which helps the rangers fragile RW depth), and is cost controlled during the cap crunch years. If I'm NYR, I view Laffy, Kakko, Miller, Othman, Schneider and Cuylle as the next core to replace Panarin, Kreider, and Trouba.

Players rangers will trade:

Chytil, Kravtsov, Lundkvist, Robertson/Scanlin, Georgiev, Pajuniemi, Henriksson. Plus some (not all) potential future draft picks in 22, 23, 24, 25.

TBH I think the Seth Jones sign/trade killed the Blackhawks.

The way I see it, you get 1 of Holtz or the 22 first, which is obviously going to be a top 5-7 pick.

We can add after that, but I don't think you can get both of our bluechip assets here.

Financially, it wasn't smart, trade value wise, it wasn't smart, but Seth Jones has been a good player and I think the team would have a similar record this season whether they made the trade or not, independent of its impact on our future.

It is the draft picks that are the kicker considering the record would be the same. Sillinger has looked good, and the 1st is going to be most likely 5-7th overall. Hefty price considering the team would be performing the same. I'd rather have Boqvist, Sillinger and 5-7th overall 1st rounder going into a rebuild.
