Getting Tavares to waive, on the other hand, is a whole 'nother issue.

Please note, I am still confused about how Tavares got signed for $11 000 000 to score 30 goals and 80 points a season. Ovie scores 50 goals and app. 90 pts a season and gets paid 9 500 000. Also, why does half the team have NMC's?

Rangers are already looking to unload Georgiev before his next raise.

No room for that back breaking Mrazek Contract.

Yeah, he's not going anywhere. Unless he has a serious falling out with management, he doesn't waive to leave.

That $11M a season was always going to look bad for the last few years. No different than any of long term high dollar contracts that 28-29 year olds get. Ovi also just came off a 13 year $120-ish million dollar contract, he didn't even need to take a raise. They also signed contracts at different ages so it's tough to do a direct comparison.

CBJ aren't doing that.
NYR aren't taking Mrázek contract and also giving Kravtsov for it?
Campbell is not signing for 2M, he will take 3.5M and up over 3-5 years , no way he takes 2M as a starting Goalie.

Columbus and Tavares decline, And Rangers decline they can't afford Mrazeks $3,800,000 x 2 with other players to resign.

It will take the 2nd to move Mrazek.. a back up at 3.8M is crazy. Let alone one that gets injured every year and doesn’t exactly perform well when he is healthy. I’m thinking you guys buy him out rather than move assets. Then if you would like to pay for the NYR players that’s cool.
