Canucks decline. Montreal really shouldn’t be trading for Miller, and if they do it starts with Barron+

Vancouver declines, Zero chance of Kelly McCrimmon not qualifying Nicolas Hague and Vegas isn't dealing Roy for jake Evans. these trades are bad.

Don't know how Vancouver declines 2 1st (likely in top of both drafts) + middle 6C + a top 4 defensive prospect. I think the offer is good but we are not in contention so it makes no sense to trade for Miller.

Edit*** and the weaker draft 1st is the only one protected (which makes even less sense) so the Canucks get our shot at Bedard. Montreal is the one who declines here. That is too much to give up. Miller is good but come on I wouldn't trade our 2023 1st for him straight up.

While I was definitely drunk in my last two BAGM on here, I believe my thought process last night was that Miller would be a strong replacement for leadership in the lineup if Gallagher could be moved in the offseason. Plus I believe to sign Miller long term would cost far less then it would be to sign someone like Gaudreau or Forsberg from UFA. Could also use Miller as 2C instead of signing Strome and go after a winger.

And you are right about the other two bozos. I really don't know how VAN would decline such a deal, especially since I didn't even say Miller signs an extension upon trade completion.

What got me was the no protection on the 2023 1st, I wouldn't do that for Miller straight up it would have to be for a much much better center for me to consider that move.

It’s the Florida 1st, not your 1st. And the other 1st is 4 drafts from now

It doesn’t really fit the Canucks needs though. They don’t need Norlinder as they are set at LD, a late 1st next year, a 1st 4 drafts from now is way too far in the future, and Dvorak isn’t a terrible replacement for a middle 6 role, but he’s nothing special

Alcohol does wonderful things on Thursday nights haha
But as I said above if the Miller trade went through you don't sign Strome and probably target a class below Gaudreau. Someone like Forsberg (IMO not in Gaudreau class) would work or even if Slav was drafted this year and slotted into that top 6 LW role.

Hell id even run Roy as 2C for one year and put Pitlick as 3C.

I'll try to stay off the liquor and post a similar GM thread later tonight

Nucks would get torn apart if they traded for him, and he isnt as good as barron. florida pick would probably do it
