Keep fiala unrealistic

Created by: bulldoghockey0712

Initial Creation Date: Apr. 23, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Goalie situation is a little sketchy with wallstedt starting in the nhl, but to sign a quality backup or someone to compete with talbot (i.e. fleury), that almost certainly means moving foligno or greenway, which I don’t think they will do. Either way, backup goalie will have to be an entry level guy. Rossi starts on 4th line, but will be elevated to top six mid season. This scenario doesn’t account for a boldy extension either 😬.

I think Kulikov and the Sabres both say “been there, done that, no thanks!”

Flames don't need Dumba. This would make our cap situation even worse

Kulikov is a left shot d, and although he plays both sides, if the Sabres are looking for a d, it's almost certainly a right shot one. Also, his time here was awful, from what I remember. I think he broke a bone in his lower back when the bench door hit him in training camp, and then he played through the pain on a bad team. He probably wakes up screaming at night if he dreams he got traded back here.

Sry I’m not that up to date on other teams rosters/needs 🤷‍♂️. These are the players the wild need to move for futures in order to make cap space for fiala.

I agree, would put us in cap hell for the next few years. Price of doing business to keep fiala tho

It would put the Flames in Cap hell so they probably won't do the deal

Yeah my bad. I was unaware of kuli’s time in Buffalo. I would’ve rather traded you goligoski but he just resigned and has a no move. I have actually liked kuli’s game this year.

I wish there was a way, but no way Fiala is back next year. Wild won't be able to find a trade partner with enough cap space to take Dumba without sending back a cap hit.

Unfortunately, I believe you are correct 😢
