Description

Zach Aston Reese is a very good shutdown/forcheking forward that can play the "grinder" part of the 3 line. chairot can be a tough shut down defence and play with dahlin. Curtis Lazar can be a fringe 4-3 line player, and desmith can platoon with ukko-pekk luukonen. For the Calgary trade it will be made in august as calgary was not able to resign both gaudreau and tkachuk therefore needing another winger that can play top line minutes, and valimaki can maybe turn into a very good 2nd pairing d-man. zemgus girgensons is decent but we don't need him anymore and we could probably get a third round pick back from him. we don't really need much more picks and jake debrusk quietly had a very productive year, while being locked up for the next 2 years and wanting out of Boston, we could probably make it work.

Sabres get crushed in the Calgary trade. Sabres left d- power, dahlin, Samuelsson, and Bryson. There's no need to go get a left d, and moving olofsson for one would be ridiculous. Very quick easy no. I wouldn't bother trading for debrusk, we have wingers. Chiarot would be fine. We are pretty light on right d. I might grab another vet goalie to go along with desmith.
