Niederbach and sebrango are no goes

Sure you aren't just talking about Soderblom and Edvinsson?

You sure about that? Wings fans will be calling for your head if you say Miller is better/more valuable than Larkin

If Miller is so valuable why are the Vancouver fans in a hurry to get rid of him? After almost putting up 100 points?

Last season Larkin had 9 goals and 23 points and it didn't change Detroit's stance at all he was just as untouchable as he is now.

Yes Miller put up more points than Larkin but there are other things that make a player valuable other than production.

Of course. Now the reason some Canucks fans are in a hurry to get rid of Miller is if he isn't willing to re-sign a team friendly contract, that way the team doesn't lose him for nothing in free agency, so they'll trade him to a team that's willing to give him the money he wants

I don't think the trade makes sense for Detroit. That's alot to give up for one player that will either cost to much or walk. Even the idea of possibly trading him for more at the deadline is pretty not good. Niederbach and Sebrango are both really good prospects, not saying they are elite but very good in their own rights. Barton might be an nhl guy, hard to say right now. Even those seconds being later of the ones we have we could still hit very good players with those picks. There is always a risk trading for a guy to try and flip him at the deadline. Does he still produce like he does now? What if he gets seriously injured? I really like Miller and think he could really help Detroit reach that next step but in reality the team isn't there yet and by the time they are he will be in the other side of 30.

Wings accept. B level prospects and a few 2nds for a 100pt player. Any team would be crazy to not accept that deal. Obviously Detroit would have to have assurances that he is willing to sign a reasonable contract before making the deal.

Isles trade is interesting. Wonder how other Canucks fans feel

I like Mayfield and Beauvillier might do good with a fresh start

That Isles trade is VERY interesting. I'm not really one to want to give away Mayfield, but this one makes me think. It's likely Boeser would get more than $6 mil but I will say that if nothing else, this is a very FAIR trade and that's rare to find on here.

with that Isles trade - if I'm making it, I'd ask to throw in Kyle Burroughs just for a positional fit. Assuming he's the guy that gets kicked out of the top 6 in Vancouver with Mayfield coming to town, and gives the Isles a stopgap for RD3 next season - not a lot out there in UFA and nothing at RD in the system for them besides 26 year old Grant Hutton. Burroughs was part of the system a few years back so he's not someone you'd have to teach the whole system to as well.
