One year of JT Miller is not worth a conditional 1st, the King's best defensive-defenseman prospect, and their starting goaltender (especially to a division rival)

No interest in Myers. Rather go in a different, that is to say better, direction

Fully expecting him to get the nod for the playoffs, he's been great this season (as were most of the old guys).

I think Miller is worth a ton, but to a team with shallow depth at center and their window is full open. Unless the Kings go deep in the playoffs I don't think they have either, and they have a full log jam at center.

Petersen is set to take over for Quick once he leaves (or can steal it from him next season), unless they find a better choice (DiPietro is still a few seasons off)

The Kings are the wrong partner for Miller (we have center depth and not looking for rentals), even Kings brass knows our window isn't open yet, so there is no reason to sell your valuable rebuild pieces to strengthen a division rival during a flat cap.

That being said, the Kings have high-level prospects for sale but not for rentals, they would rather have Chychrun and his friendly contract for 3 seasons over half price Miller for one season.
