Was that CBJ trade serious? Because Vegas literally can’t pull that trade off. There is no way Dadonov brings any positive values.

As much as I would love Laine as a Knight, they need to calm down on big $7mil+ acquisitions for a minute. I'd rather on them bulking up and building a strong bottom six then constantly adding to an already top heavy lineup

Chicago, Columbus and Montreal all comfortably decline. Doubt any of the others happen either.

Kubalik is on the block and Chicago has 0 goaltenders, Brossoit is french - i dont think MTL could legally turn it down, CBJ is getting near Eichel value for Laine who needs a contract

Laine trade isn't great for either team. If I were a Knights fan I'd much rather keep Lehner too.

Hague is also incredibly underpaid. Should be making 2.5 mil +.

Hague is a team player taking a contract that leads him right into arbitration

Chicago easily passes. We aren’t shipping off a valuable trade chip for $5m and 3 more years of Lehmee. We’d be better off signing Delia and Lankinen and keeping the asset

Correct, we’ll take a 2nd without loading up three years and 5 mill for Lehner.

-Chicago is rebuilding, they don't need to trade Kubalik for a goaltender
-Montreal can absolutely turn in down, they already have too many goaltenders under contract/control for next season
-That's not near Eichel value and Columbus can and will sign Laine.

Not at all. We just aren’t in position to maximize him. We suck and need young assets. In this case, it’s preferable to get a 2nd rounder that we can potentially develop.

No. Dadonov is a cap dump. He is not any better than most of the players currently on the Jackets roster. Vegas would literally have to give up a2nd or even a 1st to get a team to take his contract. And you are saying he actually has value? Nah, that’s a scam. Jarmo would be fired for a trade like that. Howden provides no value either. No where close to Eichel value.

And Brisson's contract puts that over the cap.

But if you're in the market for moving him, please send him to Buffalo, Columbus, Seattle, or San Jose. smile

From a Chicago standpoint, they have some leverage here. I would make a deal to get Lehner if I'm Chicago (stable goaltending the next three years, keeps them competitive, but not a contender), however it would take a deal similar to what Chicago gave up to get Fleury, which was basically nothing.
