have to make a deal with arizona as the last option wanted to try to get garland from vancouver but i cant see how he would fit in this lineup and nothing we could offer to get him

Forsberg is so much better than Georgiev its not even close. And that's an absolutely ridiculous price for Fiala

That’s better
Fiala vs Pinto + JBD + a pick
I still feel it’s a lot giving up Pinto but you need to send quality to get quality back

I think where I'm at is that Kevin Fiala pretty much priced the Sens out of the market in the last 12 games. He tacked on like 25 points or something goofy in the last dozen or so games, and it's likely drastically altered what a Fiala deal looks like. I can maybe justify moving one of Pinto, the 7th pick or Greig this summer, and suddenly Minny is in a position to potentially ask for a lot more, for a guy I think just put up the best season he's ever gonna have.

I would LOVE him in Ottawa, but that's the kind of return you offer for a legitimate STAR in this league. Marino is an excellent defensive D, and is worth a lot, but not that much at all.

Name me three teams that can afford and make sense to land Fiala …

OTT NJD

So OTT would need to send Pinto probably

NJ would need to send Holtz probably

But OTT and NJ won’t add another great asset like the player mentioned

So it would be A prospect + B+ prospect and whoever gives the better pick

Georgiev likely doesn't even get qualified by NYR and you want to give him a massive contract? You are out of touch with reality, bud.

I don't know why Edmonton would do that deal. Skinner will be the 1B next season.

To clarify, I'm not saying Ottawa doesn't have the assets to get it done. I'm just suggesting the cost to acquire him has likely absolutely skyrocketed in the last month as a result of a completely insane run of amazing production that's not necessarily reflective of the player they'd actually be getting. I see Fiala as a 60-70 point, star winger. He's great. The problem is he's now an 85 point guy, and you're now paying 80-90 point guy prices on the trade AND contract, for I guy I don't believe is truly that level of player.

yes i have to agree fiala finished the season in awesome form. Now will the wild keep him and sign him to contract or do they move him and to whom? not many contending teams have the luxury of cap space like the sens do or the assets

the issue is the 7th pick for a rfa that the other team will have hard time to sign...so do we make the wild sweat?

Nah you don’t trade the 7th OA
Nemec or Jiricek might still be there
Norris-Stutzle-Pinto-4C down the middle is good
Tkachuk 1LW
Formenton 3LW
Batheson 1RW

Greig is an excellent prospect with top 6 potentiel

Need more quality prospects on the RW

The defense is fine if they get one of Nemec or Jiricek

Chabot-Nemec/Jiricek
Sanderson-Zub (still young)
Brannstrom/Kleven-Thomson/JBD
