Description

Thinking outside the box here. Obviously it's super unlikely that Stone for Scheifele could happen but it's not impossible. Stone would almost for sure waive his NMC for Winnipeg (its his hometown), and the move would free up almost $3.5M in cap space for Vegas and lord knows they are deep in cap hell. Vegas is also probably amicable to a roster shake-up after their disappointing season (unlikely that they'd move a guy like Stone, of course, he's too good. But who knows, GMs make bad decisions all the time lol).

Get the Jets a new coaching staff that gives a sh** and bada bing bada boom that's a cup contender, don't @ me.

How on earth would the Jets be adding? Aside from that, Stone isn't waiving for Winnipeg and the Jets aren't going to get stuck with Stone's contract.

If Jet fans aren't happy with Wheeler's contract, just imagine getting stuck with Stone's.

Stone isn't waiving for Winnipeg, nor should Winnipeg even want that horrendous contract with his injuries and all. So both teams decline.

Winnipeg shouldn't be trading that 1st, that Stone contract doesn't look very good either so I'd pass.

I would love Mark Stone but with the Jets in this state, I highly doubt that Stone would waive. The whole reason that Scheifele is probably getting moved is because of where this team is going.

I still can't believe that the Jets didn't trade for Mark Stone because they didn't want to trade Roslovic or Niku, so they instead resigned Wheeler... now look where we are 😢
