1. I don't mind resigning Wideman but not at that price or to be a top 6 D man. my preference is less than 1 Mil and as a 7th D man.
2. No to Galchenyuk not at all.
3. Petry said he is open to staying in Montreal and Hughes said the preference was to keep Petry, therefor Petry is likely a Hab next season.
4. Armia could return a 4th from the right team so he is not a cap dump.
5. Byron's buyout is really cheap so don't need to pay to dump him.

Gallagher has a bad year, last year he was at .65 and +10. Only -7 this year is solid from the Habs this year. His 4.9 S% will go up. Not because a player has 1 bad year on the worst team in the NHL that no value will come back to MTL in a trade. Also he is only 29. If he was 35 it is another story.

petry is 35 this year and who i was talking about

but since you brought up gallagher, youre not getting value back for that awful contract, better to keep him

Philly is 100% out from the Petry conversation. Ellis said that he will be ready when the training camp starts and that he wants to play in Philly.

What the Habs should do is trade Petry and Gallagher to Phoenix or Seattle, for market value if they can get it or basically whatever they can get and hope for healthy fully rebounded seasons from both of them. Help propel those franchise to be better next year.

I doubt Petry gets that return without retention.
But either way, Philly isn't the right destination
