Would still rather keep Gurianov around. He's got much more room to develop than Pearson who has peaked, and we've seen what kind of beast Gurianov can be in the past.

Islanders probably consider IMO. Mayfield is replaceable, I love Bellows but trotz hates him and there is no room for him, Beau is the big piece but Miller will replace him, the first would be a late 1st which would suck but whatever and the late 2nd means nothing really

Isles can't do this without an extension from Miller, in my opinion.

Give Miller an extension and throw in Poolman to replace Mayfield, and you have a deal.

Interesting deal from the Islanders' perspective - as others have said, I would prefer knowing Miller was open to an extension before pulling that trigger, but sending out that package isn't a bad move at all - upgrading Beauvillier and cashing in on Mayfield before he leaves as a UFA are two things that I would want to do, and this deal does them both.

I'd ask if Allvin could sneak a Kyle Burroughs into JTM's luggage so we could rotate him and Grant Hutton as RD3, but other than that I'm fine with this package.

Just my opinion, from an Isles perspective, Miller could have had one REALLY good season finally in his career. If all of those pieces are moving, I'm going for Boeser. Keep in mind also Miller is going to try and HEAVILY cash in on an extension. I feel like with all of those pieces and picks the Isles can get someone with term already on contract at a better value than what Miller will be asking for.

We assume Miller will cash in, but it isn't hard knowledge that he will just yet

Fair, I was just thinking that Gurianov might be in need of a fresh start, and I'd be willing to take Faksa off the Stars hands to make a deal work
