How good is Marino? Is he big? does he hit? can he clear the net front?

We need a good RD who is a big player(dont care for height exactly, but a player who plays big but has offense)

Well i can see your point i think that you are forgeting how many teams need a 2C. his value will not reflect what he gets back, I believe that he should get a young a B+ to A prospect and a 1st maybe some smaler peices are inolved on both sides of a potential deal.

The Jet trade isn't a new idea, it has been turned down by Winnipeg fans many times. There's nothing there that fills a need for Winnipeg. Even though Marino is an okay RD, he's not good enough to pass Pionk and doesn't have the physicality Winnipeg needs.

The Jets may have interest in Marino, but not for Scheifele.

I'm not sure Montreal is in a position to pay Kapanen, but he'd be easier to trade than Drouin.

Kapanen holds very little leverage in negotiations - he has a 840k qualifying offer and is coming off a very meh season. I could see him sign 1x2.5M
