Pretty fair, trades. Good job
I think mikheyev gets closer to 3,5m
Malkin should really get 7m, but with his pedigree and all, I wouldn't be surprised if he got what you gave him.
Not a bad acgm, I like this team too
Though, new jersey might not be the best destination for miller.

Are there rumours about Malkin coming to Vancouver or something? I've seen that a lot, wondering if I missed it.

Thanks I think this is a well rounded team and provides the proper support for Petey, Podkolzin, Hughes to really grow and take another step by the time Malkins 2yrs is up.

I agree mikheyev probably gets a bit more and could potentially get Malkin for a bit less (though it might take some convincing to get him to Van).

Apparently devil's were pretty interested in Miller at the deadline and could circle back on him. He brings the grit, leadership, and skill that they are looking for he is just a bit old for them but I could see it.

Media has mentioned it a bit but it's just pure speculation no actual reports.

It's more that it seams like his time in Pittsburgh might be done. Canucks have talked about changing the culture and who better than Malkin who has accomplished everything in his career and has the connection to Rutherford and Allvin. He would be a great mentor for Petey, podkolzin, and Bo (and everyone else of course but could really elevate those guys into winners).

Pretty good ACGM overall, although I think you lowballed Mikheyev a bit while giving Malkin a bit too much

Ya I agree. Could definitely bump mikheyev up to 3.25 or 3.5 and Malkin down to 8

I'd bump Malkin down even further, he's gone on record saying he doesn't want a big payday on his next contract

I mean the cheaper the better but I think even though he has said that it might take a bit of money to convince him to come to Vancouver. I prefer to offer the higher end to show it's doable.

Canucks management isn't going to be lenient whatsoever when it comes to attracting free agents or considering trade proposals from other teams, JR has come out and made that much clear. If it is going to take more money to attract a certain free agent to Vancouver, management ain't going to look at it

I agree but with Malkin being the one potential exception.

Nah, his play has become less consistent as he's gotten older, not to mention he can't stay healthy over a full season anymore

Ya to me it depends if management thinks he can have a significant effect on the day to day habits of everyone in the org. And how much of an influence they think he could have on Petey becoming a true superstar.

Obviously the team needs to build better practice habits, but that's more of an organizational thing

I like the players added. My concern is whether or not they would fit Bruce's coaching style though since it can influence players point totals.

I understand the pedigree with Malkin. But this is another 35+ contract that cannot come off the books if the guy retires. It doesn't appear to fit with Mgmts stated desire to a.) get younger and b.) have flexibility. If the Canucks were closer to contending, I would wholeheartedly endorse a Sundin-style signing (1 year at a high number). There are other needs.
