PLD is 23 years old coming off a 60 point year. Pionk is only 26. I highly doubt the Jets are looking to add 32 year old Carlson + inconsistent Sammy a few late picks and an unproven prospect in exchange for 23 year old 1c and 26year old top 4 RSD
Mr_Canoehead and Kalopsia liked this.

I can't see any way possible of making an easier offer for Winnipeg to turn down.

Slightly dramatic. Carlson is better than PLD his age is the biggest issue. If they were both 23 Carlson every GM would pick Carlson over PLD. I do agree with you but let’s not pretend Carlson isn’t an elite offensive Dman

Caps paying way too much here. Remove Sammy and a 2nd and it's even.

No it's not overly dramatic it's true. Nobody cares what would happen if they were both 23, although at 23 Carlson was pretty mediocre. But right now Carlson is 32 and has a boat anchor contract.

Plus the Jets also give up a very good defenseman and take back a bad backup goalie they don't need and a valueless winger that nobody would need and a couple late picks.

So, let's not pretend your offer is much more than a thinly veiled troll offer.

I didn’t make the offer lol. Carlson is a 70p top pairing D man today. AGIAN don’t be dramatic he’s a high end player and the best player in this trade. Hes just older now.

“ I can't see any way possible of making an easier offer for Winnipeg to turn down.” lol they are getting too 70p Dman not Jack Johnson bad trade bad hardly as bad as you make it seem

PLD would probably cost wsh 2022 1st, wsh 2023 first, McMichael and a good contract roster player (sheary or dowd). I feel like I am being nice considering a guy like Dvorak went for 1st + 2nd last offseason and PLD is coming off a much better season

Pionk likely cost 24' 1st, Protas, and Jensen

Obv these dont have to be exact prices but that is about what wpg would need for them

No it absolutely is as I described it. No one is giving up a 23 year old 1C along with a 26 YO top 4 RHD for a 32 offense only defenseman with a really bad contract, a bad backup goalie that they don't need and that is looking for a raise and a dime a dozen, low end forward that they don't need. Plus a couple low picks.

It's pretty hard to create an easier offer to turn down than 3 unneeded players and a couple late picks.

Actually at even strength Dubois and Dvorak produced at the same rate.

And why would Winnipeg accept that for Pierre-Luc Dubois, They can get far better than this real easy.

PLD’s obviously not on the block, but I do wonder if something like Carlson and McMichael for Schiefele and Pionk is a possible starting point? Carlson’s got a 10 team no trade list, but assuming a reunion with Trotz (the coach under whom he really broke out offensively) is on the table maybe he’d ok a trade to Winnipeg.
