Description

Toying around with different ideas here. Realistically speaking, I don’t think Calgary wants to let up any 100+ point getters (Tkachuk, Gaudreau). Mangiapane scored 35 tallies for Calgary this year. Surely the cost for him would be significantly less than the other two and it would still help bolster the Devils offensively. Let me know what you guys think and if I’m missing value in this trade.

As a flames fan I have been wondering about the value of Mang in a trade. For me, Zacha and the 2nd as far as value is probably close, just doesn’t help the flames at all. I would consider a Mang for Mercer straight up, because it helps with cap space.

If so, I can tell you haven't watched the Devils that much.
Mercer's more or less untouchable, he's part of the long term core in New Jersey and won't be traded anytime soon.

I believe that he is absolutely better than Zacha and #37, but I also believe that Mang is significantly better than Zacha and the pick. My point was that you gotta give to get.
