Okay.... I understand where this is coming from but like... we don't know who specifically was involved. If it comes out that they were then get them the **** out of the league, but it seems pretty irresponsible to be making those inferences at this stage.

I wouldn't do this if I was 100% sure about his character.

And he is probably at his peak, in terms of trade value.

Calgary needs to get rid of some AAV to make room to extend Johnny and Matty, and even thought the difference is under a mill, I don't think they'd want to add even more money by trading Toffoli, for a bigger AAV.

According to what I can find the horrible event involved players that were currently playing in the CHL at the time. Batherson had already finished his time and therefore wouldn't be considered. I think the shade of doubt should be only on Formenton. Formenton was still a CHL player at the time. Purely hypothetical but I hope they name names so these guys can be taken out of the game

The assault took place in London. Formenton and Rob Thomas were the only players that played in London on that team

Formenton being there makes it more likely that he was in the bar, a London Knights player could easily be allowed into local bars even if he was underage

Drake was still in Junior. 17-18 not 18-19. Regardless I think speculating feels pretty gross given the severity of the situation. The facts will come out in time.
