I think you can lower the 2nd to the 2024 3rd at least, Bear is actually really good towards the bottom of CAR defense when he plays but the organization doesn’t seem to value him that much. He would certainly be a nice add for CGY and CAR would like Valimaki
That is a trade OTT should definitely take, I don’t care if sens fans claim Sanderson untouchable.

Johnny Gaudreau gets $9,500,000 x 8 years in Calgary possibly more.

There's been rumblings of Matthew Tkachuk wanting to go home to St Louis, Doubt he has any interest in Ottawa just because his brother Brady is there.

Yeah I don't think Sanderson gets even mentioned in any trade, he is untouchable for the Sens

Why can't we just try signing Tkachuk whenever he becomes a UFA?

That way, we have both Tkachuks and Sanderson.

I think value-wise, it's not unreasonable, but the Sens aren't moving Sanderson for anybody other than top 5 player. Not that Sanderson is going to be a top 5 player, but he just holds that much value to the Sens

Drop Valimaki and sure. His cap hit for a player that's been in the minors just isn't worth it. Bear for a 2nd is 100% realistic.
