Sharks trade isn’t remotely close. Take out Mrazek and the sharks still say no

Why are you giving Rodrigues Kerfoot money but getting rid of Kerfoot? Don't like that at all.

Sharks say no. I like the Reimer thought, but the trade needs a total rework.

Might want to switch Sandin and Brodie sides. You're not signing Sandin to 3.6 million per to play on the right side, which is likely to not end well.

    Would definitely take Gagner.

After all that, no cap compliant. You really think Muzzin can be wished away like that?

People are underestimating the market that there will be for Holl. this may be true

Leaf Fans are overestimating the market that there will be for Mrazek. It does not exist. SDA is a meh prospect and the picks are not an incentive

Caps decline. no need to get even older, more injury prone, and more overpaid (we already have the guy that matches all 3 of those, and his name is TJ Oshie) on the back end, especially not when Washington already has limited cap to find a replacement for Backstrom, a top 6 winger to help supplement the loss of Wilson for much of the year, and the goalies have to be paid. Especially at the price of a great value contract for the bottom 6 and a mid 2nd round pick, Washington goes nowhere near this.

OTT stays far away from that.

CBrown with retention is worth a 1st, thats more useful to OTT than Kerfoot right now

Washingtons window is rapidly closing. Can very easily see that Ovi will be pushing for trades such as this one

We can debate about the window another time, but Muzzin isn't an upgrade with his cap hit, plain and simple. Ovi has always been worried about the team, with the only trade he really pulled for was Kovalchuk a couple years ago. Losing Hathaway is worse for the Capitals, and more than offsets the little incentive Washington has for adding a non-retained injury prone player who is a 3D in DC, and someone who brings as much upside as Alexeyev does, except Alexeyev comes without paying a valuable winger who plays around the lineup and paying a mid 2nd rounder for someone who is useless to Washington.

    Overall, Muzzin
    a. Brings far too much cap for a team that will be spending on far more important positions than a 3LD
    b. isn't very useful to DC in his current state, and his upside is the same that Alexeyev could bring
    c. is injury prone, a problem the capitals already have in spades and won't be wanting to compound the problem further

You’re right. They’ll only listen if Dubas offers Nikita Zaitsev 2.0
