Detroit says "sure, why not", we'll buy an LTIR contract for 1 year, for a 2nd round pick...

Detroit says hell yes.

And if Copp signs for $5,000,000 it better have 6 years attached to it.

For now... I expect he'll end back up on LTIR, but even then, I'll take a flier on him and if he can actually play and earns a spot in camp, even better. If not we send him to GR and eat the 3m of dead cap for the year...

I think Boston says yes. Maybe. I'm on the fence.

Downgrade? Necas put up Debrusk’s career average ~40 points in a self admitted down year. And Bear is younger than Reilly who both have similar problems getting ice time for their teams, they’re good enough on paper but the coach prefers someone else.

If you watched the last half of the 2022 season, in fact, lets just say 2022, necas was brutal, and debrusk was awesome.
In 2022:
EV points Debrusk: 32
EV points Necas: 21
Debrusk points: 34
Necas points: 22
Debrusk goals: 20
Necas goals: 7

One guy looked lost. The other looked awesome.

20-21 Debrusk: 14 points in 41 games
20-21 Necas: 41 points in 53 games

21-22 Debrusk: 42 in 77
21-22 Necas: 40 in 78.

So when Necas has an awful season he still matches Debrusk’s production. The same can’t be said for Debrusk.

See my above comments regarding the ghost of Jake debrusk during the height of the pandemic.

So you have an excuse for Debrusk but don’t think the younger player who produced just as much as him isn’t better?

I’ve addressed it. Thoroughly. If you disagree, that’s fine. If you don’t see the logic in it, i certainly can’t help you.

I’m sorry calling out your logic by just going back one season upset you.

You haven’t identified one piece of my logic. I don’t think you’ve read it. Read it, reference it, and I’ll try to answer any questions you have.

If you think what you said, or anything you could say has the ability to upset me, you’re mistaken.
