I don’t think the bruins are going to want to move pastrnak and debrusk for the, “here’s all our junk and a first round pick,” package.

At that point, just wait for UFA. One extra year wouldn’t hurt not would it

Yeah. Only thing that interests me is Morrow, Suzuki and the picks.

Are you serious? The 23 year old RW that wants to move to center and put up 40 points in a down year doesn't interest a team that needs help down the middle?

Lol yes. The 40 point guy isn’t of great interest. Bruins have a lot of those guys.

The guy that put up 40 points in a down year playing 4th line minutes and put up a 60 point pace last season? Really, that doesn't interest you?

Fair enough, must still be a little shell shocked with the Cassidy news. Otherwise, I do think you're not understanding what Necas is but okay.

Necas interest me the most. Still just 23yrs old he's got good size, can skate, has skill and can play all 3 forward spots.

What more do you want for a rental and middle 6 winger that requested a trade? You always talk about how rentals don’t get great returns, but then this offer of a 1st, solid young player in Necas, 2 solid prospects in Morrow and Suzuki, plus Bear and 2 2nds isn’t enough? Show me a rental who has gotten a better return

Hold up: I don’t talk about rentals not getting good returns. I talk about rentals not returning high-end current NHL players, and that’s because they don’t. It’s not a thing because logically it doesn’t make any sense. Teams trade for rentals because they are looking to be competitive, or more competitive, they don’t do that by plucking from their core….filling one hole by creating another. No, its futures for rentals, the way its always been.

This package is a lot of fluff and nothing good. Necas on paper is exciting, but he just looked so bad this year. Totally lost. I actually forgot about morrow. He’s of a little bit of interest. Late first…whatever. A cap dump and a guy that’s not going to get qualified…whatever. Some random fifth rounder from last year…whatever.

This is for two 25 year olds, who are the bruins leading, and third leading goal scorers, respectively. One has led the national hockey league in goals. In regard to a rental that has gotten a better return, well, this isn’t a rental. Pastrnak could be, but its not often the traditional, “Rental,” is 25…..annnddd then there’s that 25 year old with two years left on his deal, who isn’t a rental at all.

Also, how does Debrusk trade request, if its still in place, matter at all?
