Isles pass, he's more valuable to their hopes of contending in 22-23 than a 3rd rounder. Gonna take an overpay to make them move out a guy they don't really have anyone ready to step up and replace.

Isles easily get a 2nd for Mayfield and maybe more at the TDL.

No shot they move him for 3rd.

Well you thought wrong. Oilers could add a first round pick to that Boston trade and its still a hard no. Barrie sucks. The world knows it. Boston isn’t taking him under any circumstances, nor are they giving up their third leading goal scorer for what’s essentially a trash contract for a 3RD.

I don’t think you’re giving Barrie the credit he deserves. I did not like Barrie but he actually played like a top 4 D these playoffs and him stepping up defensively was a big reason why we made it so far. Boston is dealing from a position of weakness and they need a PP QB. This 1 for 1 makes perfect sense

For the Oilers maybe. Boston doesn't touch that with a 30 foot pole

He plays like he’s an awful NHL d man. Top four AHL? Maybe. Not sure if you’ve ever seen the bruins play a hockey game, but he’s the opposite of their style of play. Furthermore, minimum two guys ahead of him on the depth chart for RD. Take out debrusk, and its still a no.

If Barrie is so great why are you not keeping him?

Bouchard makes 1/6 of what he makes and does everything he does better
