Personally hate the idea of betting on Husso I get had a great year but he gives me the Hammond vibes personally I wouldn't touch that and would pursue someone with a larger sample size since the back up lacks experience. I get why seen this lots he did have a very solid year just see lots of risk in it.

It won’t be Seattle going after Barrie unless they are getting paid to do so. And yeesh, that dcore really does suck without Larsson. Big mistake by Edmonton.

Ya that's why I kinda think Smith retiring sucks. But who else do you sign or trade for? MAF not coming here. Gibson will cost too much and comes with risk based on his performance the last couple years (albeit with a bad team). Campbell wants more apparently. Trade for Talbot?

Lol why? Barrie is not negative value for a team that needs an offensive D

Larsson wasn't an Oilers mistake. He wasn't signing here and Ceci has been at equal or greater value.

I would rather have Husso test free agency as a blues fan, which I think he will he this is definitely a fair contract

Seattle is looking to take on cap dumps, and build through the draft. They are not going to take on Barrie unless they get paid to.

YES!!!! Not just defensemen but an overall more defensive game. Scoring is not the problem. I'm not even an Oilers fan, but I've been thinking the same thing about them.

Edmonton needs to take a flyer on Hart. Hometown boy who has had a rough few seasons with Philly.

Was it Kane or Jay Woodcroft? Stronger defensive play and more consistent goaltending and Oilers wil not need to score 5+ goals a game to win

Honesty not sure of other options even tho many fans might not like it Smith is by far the best case. When healthy he's unreal for the price tag. I could see Campbell if Toronto doesn't get him locked up. Not my top choice by any means but has played in a tough market think that's important aspect to consider for that position specifically. Heard he was good buds with Hyman so there is some internal Intel on the player. Not big on that idea but trying to be realistic. Don't think what happens in Net this off-season will please everyone or possibly anyone.

So Campbell wants more than $4M from what I've heard and idk if he is much better than Hudson given how his season ended.

They have another goalie that is up and coming and they suck anyway so if the return is good enough, they may bite on it

Ya I'm not big on that either still a limited sample size from what I'd personally want but with Campbell do get a guy some are already familiar with. Kinda like Barrie comes here then Hyman.
