I like it, I think that some of the trades are a little bit skewed towards the nucks, but nothing a 2nd or 3rd wont fix

Serious question, not trying to be negative or anything.

Why do so many Canucks ACGMs have that Dickinson for Holl trade? Is it based on a rumour or did one guy do it and everyone else was like yeah, I like it.

Because I don't see the benefit for the Leafs. Will give you Holl, hell you can probably have him for free. But we want to trade him to shed salary. Dickinson makes more than Holl and we have cheaper internal options at LW.

    Just curious.

we can probably get more for miller. we're only getting a decent top 4 d, a bottom 6 winger, and a late first

No one will take Dickinson off the Canucks hands. He's a net negative player and a negative asset.

Cannot see Marchment signing for that little.
Should be multiple teams out there willing to give him close to 4m, if not more.

Just an FYI Boeser's Qualifying Offer this offseason is $7.5 million, so any deal with him has to be at least that, especially if its a short term deal

This isn't true. And I've seen this a couple of times. The Canucks can offer Brock a contract of 1 year at 1 mil or 8 years at 14 mil and he can accept either. His next contract DOES NOT have to be 7.5mil +. In fact, his most likely contract is the one the OP listed here.

Yes he can accept lower money, but why would he? if the canucks want to keep his RFA rights they have to offer him $7.5 mil, so for a three year deal he would probably just take the higher value for one year.

Based on this past season, the entire league knows he isnt worth 7.5, he knows that. He is genuinely a 5.5m-6.5m valued piece. So why would he take 7.5 this year just to maybe have to sign a contract at like 5.5m going forward? Why wouldn't he take 19m now instead of 7.5 and then who knows what?

He's probably gonna bet on himself, professionals like Boeser know they didnt play to theyre full potential. He's probably gonna look at the offers on the table and say "i'll take 7.5 for 1 year, and next year i'll prove i'm worth more money"

I think it's fair value, BOS gets a 1C and keeps there window open to compete. Miller won't be moved for scraps that's for sure.

I am fully aware of that. Boeser also wants to remain in VAN, he is very close friends with Pettersson and the rest of the VAN core. Boeser and agent are also aware he won't get a big term and full money deal atm with the season he just had.

No, not scraps. Futures. As it literally always is. Rentals get moved for future because its the only thing that makes any sense.
