Description

Why draft Juraj Slafkovsky when you could get Tkachuk.

Highly improbable... except if they can't find a good deal. Apparently, it is not a love story with him in the locker.

Anyway - we could try an OS... but its bad taste - I rather try to trade for him. We would be open to trade pretty much every player except Suzuki and Caufield, so feel free to do a counter offer.

Petry trade is standard: at least a late first somewhere - trade happens at the draft.

We sign some reliable RD vets like Braun or Stralman, then sign a fan favourite to make the tanking less painfull with Subban.

One of Hoffman, Byron, Armia or Drouin is traded out.

If we lose Letang I can almost assure you that we aren’t giving up our first to go find another 1D. If anything, that first becomes even more valuable to not trade in this case scenario.

What is in the water in Montreal that every single Habs fan is under the delusion that the Pens want Petry...let alone that they are willing to overpay for him? Trust me, Letang walks and Petry is way down the list of replacements.

Well, if CAL wants to sign Gaudreau - they might not have the cap space.

and IF (i know its a lot of ifs) MT and the flames can't find an agreement... they might not be ready to give him 10M.
