Because he's an injury prone overpaid defenseman who only has 1 year left until UFA. MN would need to trade him for cap if they needed more space for MAF. Lindholm only got that much because he agreed to re-sign with boston before being traded.

No. It's because he's an injury prone overpaid defenseman who only has 1 year left until UFA. MN would need to trade him for cap if they needed more space for MAF.

Now explain how Dumba is traded for less than Chiarot.

He's overpaid by $600k. His current Market Value is literally $5.4M. It's not as bad as people want to b*tch about. Especially when you consider he's our most physical D-man and has been for years. Plus he's a team leader, and was given the *A* for a reason.

Furthermore, that often injured defenseman, just came back and played with a broken rib and a punctured lung for the last few games of the season and the entirety of our 1st round against the Blues because the team needed him too. And he was still our most physical D-man.

He could've just as easily not played at all, and chosen to heal up for next year.

People hate on him because it's easy. That doesn't mean he has **** value or that he'd get less than Chiarot who's a far far worse defenseman than Dumba is.

THAT IS WHY IT'S A NARRATIVE.

Thanks for proving my point for me.

It's Anaheim, not Los Angeles, which needs a quality RD. The Ducks would probably give up the Pittsburgh second for him. Or maybe the Colorado 2023 second and your 2023 third back.

I'd argue that those injuries made him a much bigger liability in the playoffs. Playing physical doesn't mean you are playing good. But i'm not going to act like he costs us the series either.

Chiarot's value was exaggerated because of the pressure of the trade deadline. I guess Dumba could fetch a second from the right team but this trade is more about freeing up space for our goalies and giving addison more ice time. I'm not saying its the best idea. I'm just considering it.

Dumba was arguably our best defenseman in the playoffs with a dislocated rib, a broken rib and a punctured lung.

I think he is but maybe I haven't seen him enough so maybe ur right lol. also just want to make sure I'm understood when I say kings decline. it's not that he is not worth a 3rd it's more that we don't need him cuz our RD is really deep and we would be kicking out younger players like durzi
