- Sharangovich
- Smith or Mukhamadullin or Foote
- 2OA
- 2023 2nd round pick

He personally would accept that deal. I would do this in a heartbeat

That’d be closer. Ignore the #2 overall and not a penny more, laughable. I do see Hawks trading the Cat. It’s gonna be several pieces, something like you proposed. Someone his age and production will require that. Anything short and it plain doesn’t happen.

In the cap era, a top-5 pick has never been traded for a player. Not to mention, a top-2 pick. That could be a franchise-altering piece, a guy that they would likely center their rebuild around.

And DeBrincat doesn’t really fit the type of winger Fitzgerald has talked about obtaining.

DeBrincat is elite winger to play w Jack for next decade. That’s all I care about

Don’t get me wrong, I would love that as much as any devils fan. But he is still just one winger. And Sharangovich, Slavkovsky and Mukhamadullin could all be elite pieces too.

I personally think that this is a lot more in line with what it takes to get Cat than most of the trades I've seen. Would any of you trade Cat for Holtz and Cooley/Slaf/Nemec/etc. straight up? Holtz and the 2OA doesn't get it done. Potential is only worth so much.
