Would Col consider a Edmundson Girard swap? Ed is a very good defensive D and colorado might need 1 or 2 of those type of players

. You could add a 1st and they wouldn’t do it. Girard is a 30 pt machine getting zero PP1 time, awesome in transition, eats 20 minutes a game, is solid defensively, plays both sides, is on a great contract and you really don’t think a bottom 6 guy that doesn’t score as much as Girard would be remotely interesting? That’s a hard easy no.

Edmundson was a big part of the Blues cup win on the blue line. Explain to me how he is a 6th D? He is also miles better than Girard Defensively. Colorado don't have many Ds like that.

Oh except for the best dman in the league, the top pairing in the league, a young stud in Byram, Manson who wants to re-sign and and EJ. Edmundson being better than Girard defensively Is just not true. Is he bigger yes, better no. COL just isn’t giving Girard away for a pile of nothing when they can just keep him for the next half decade.

Girard is a better player in every dimension of the game, like 4 years younger, and signed for 3 years more than Edmundson. Montreal would have to add significant premium assets for this to even be within the realm of consideration.
