Pens decline

Can I get some input on why? Letang might leave and same w desmith. burns fills in for letang at 4mil and reimer had a great season and become a good backup at 1 mil. zucker is a cap dump, and the pens want Kapanen out.

Make it $2 mil retained to Pitt and sharks would consider. I can’t see them retaining $13 mil and taking Zucker at $5.5 mil.

I gave the sharks a lot back because zucker wasn't getting any retained coming back. in this scenario the shark are doing a mini rebuild/retooling so the next season would be a "throw away" season just to get one more good pick. zucker only has 1 year left and would be gone after next season.

it benefits both sides, sharks get futures and the pens get veterans to help them in the playoffs also they aren't retaining 13 M its only 5

I mean the futures aren’t that good for two quality players at discounts with $18 mil kept by San Jose while Pittsburgh drops in cap. Even if they are rebuilding it isn’t a deal for San Jose, but I get where it’s coming from.

I made do with what the pens have lol they have no futures and since letang might be out I thought it would be a perfect replacement their. also idk the value of burns since hes older and still signed for a while. thanks tho!

Why? Don't yall need a backup since husso is leaving? I thought Hill could be a decent and cheap replacement no?

He played pretty well for a struggling sharks team imagine what he could do on a playoff blues team!

Letang isn't going anywhere. A backup can be signed for next to nothing in free agency. Burns isn't worth 4M. Zucker is a valuable piece for this team.

Letang could leave it isn't 100% positive that he's staying. even as a kings fan I think burns is worth somewhere around them maybe around 3 M. And I thought Zucker was terrible isn't he? ive heard people talking about the pens trying to dump him or even buy him out.

Also, 1 M for a backup is very cheap especially for a player like reimer who was extremely good for a struggling sharks team. imagine what he could do as the pens backup

I'm thinking they'd much sooner re-sign Lindberg than spend a 3rd in a draft where they don't have a 2nd on one year of a meh goalie.

They don't primarily need futures, but they do need some. And I don't think Hill gives them a better shot than Lindberg or even Hofer. The Blues arr well covered for goalies throughout the organization even if Husso walks.

If the blues aren't gonna do that Hill trade, may as well just keep Hill and not sign Holtby. Although it would be nice to have another pick this year.

No clue what that person is talking about. There will be 0 goalies in FA as good as Reimer available for 1M. Burns is worth every cent if his cap hit is 4M and Zucker is definitely a waste of cap space lol.

That what I was thinking, I'm even a kings fan and I acknowledge that burns and Reimer are both still good. what ur thoughts on the rest of the moves I did?
