Wouldn't Dubas just be tickled pink if a GM offered to take everything he didn't want AND give him a top end goalie for basically nothing.

I think Gibson is overrated (especially on here) but that trade is awful for Anaheim.

Last year, with a better recent track record, Darcy Kuemper got a first round pick and a young player in return (and that was when Colorado had literally no other options). I doubt Anaheim beats that for Gibson, who isn't as good, makes more money, but has term.

Look, Gibson isn't the top 5 goalie he was. However, he is still light years ahead of this value.
