They may not be looking to trade him but they have a surplus in goaltending and I’m giving up a top d prospect , a 1st, a 2nd and a potential top 9 winger

Askarov is the #2 goalie prospect in the league. You're giving up a late 1st, a top 4 D prospect who hasn't come over, a middle 6 forward prospect, and a 2nd next year - not to mention that they're sending Myers and a 4th over. I think it's just an easy pass from Nashville - and even if they did decide to make this trade, I wouldn't except Askarov to be coming over in time for opening night 2022. He's only 20 and he's got a KHL contract so he's a couple years away at least.

Would be an upgrade over Friedman and Ruhwhedel is a fringe 7th. Think it’s common for people to just say Holl is bad just to say Holl is bad.

I would rather play Friedman or Ruhwedel for a fraction of the cash

Not saying we have to get Holl but sully can bring the best out of his D and Holl could fit well in our lineup if used right and for the cost of nothing too much to trade for.

The leafs need a 2nd line center so Tavares can move to the wing. The leafs need a 4th line center with some grit. DAVID KAMPF is the leafs 3rd line center and is as good a faceoff and PK guy for that position as anyone. He also put up career numbers in his first yr with the leafs and performed excellent in the playoffs. Was by far the leafs best forward in a supporting role.
