Could bump it to a second and third and a late one but that’s the most we could probably afford to pay.

This is pretty realistic but you are being a bit hopeful on some of these contracts. I also can’t see 2 in division trades and I expect one of O’Connor, Zohorna, Poulin etc to break into the lineup to save money. No way Hextall cuts it this close to the cap

Unlikely. Isles will likely need cap space for this offseason and would only be getting one year from him. A 4th rounder if its closer to the start of the season and the Isles fail to net a bonafide top 4 D...then maybe. I just dont see a trade for Dum happening

Rather the Devils try and swing Samsonov or Vanecek for Zacha then, if the best the Penguins have to offer are picks.

I mean I did this based off what will probably happen and Hextall has made it seem like Kapanen is staying. Me personally I would build a Kapanen package up for Zacha rather than just picks but this is what I was working with.
