Wood trade is interesting but idk if NJD do it. Not saying it’s unfair tho.

I’m not sure what’s gonna happen to him. NJ has a stacked bottom 6 right now

Tatar and Johnsson should be easy to move and Foote can be sent down. Zacha will also be dealt IMO so they should have room.

Yeah, I’m on the fence as well. I know their forward dynamic is somewhat on the smaller side, but I saw on twitter they might entertain some ideas around Wood given he’s an RFA. Kerfoot could act as a nice stopgap for some of the younger guys coming up and could be moved at the deadline for some additional assets if needed as well.

Three way deal where kerfoot is attached to someone like Tatar could make sense

Oh forsure, Ottawa just came to mind based on the cap space and the idea that Holl could help insulate some of the prospects coming up and if needed, they ship him out for a pick or two at the deadline!

Pierre Dorion has got you covered. He already acquired Travis Hamonic, Nick Holden and Michael Del Zotto for that. Plus was already stuck with Zaitsev

Any idea you have, Dorion has already double or triple down on it

Ahahahah well, when you put it that way, you guys are covered on the veteran D side of things! Thanks for the context. Cheers!

Yea but Zetterlund is gonna make the team in a middle six capacity.
Holtz should make the team playing anywhere in the top nine, though it wouldn't be the end of the world having his ELC slide one more year and give him a full time job in the NHL after game 73.
Thompson is 50-50 to make the bottom six or to be sent down.

Point is, Devils are crowded on the wings up and down the lineup.
Anyway, I want Zacha traded, ambivalent to whether Tatar stays or goes, and trading Johnsson I think would be a mistake.

Sry about the tirade
