Detroit declines, Sunny is worth more than an upgrade from an early 3rd to a late 2nd.

Everyone values draft picks really really weird honestly. Apparently late 1sts aren’t good for trades to a lot of people as well. Sooooo don’t know how to help ya out there

We aren't moving Edmundson for less than we got for Chiarot. Edmundson is a better player than Ben Chiarot.

Not sure Dal would take Barrie. even if Klingberg leaves, Barrie is a massive downgrade. Not to mention he's not worth a 2nd unless oilers retain. he's overpaid and too much defensive inconsistency w him

Detroit passes, Yzerman does acquire players at the TDL only to deal them the next year. Sunny adds an element that we need on the 3rd and 4th line he's a big body that likes to hit.

Let’s be honest, if Holland paid a 1st for Kyle Quincey, Sundqvist is getting at least a 1st and a 2nd.

We though Namestnikov would get Detroit a 3rd rounder or a 2nd rounder with salary retained and instead they got a 4th rounder and retained his salary. Soooo

Every trade is different! You can estimate but you have no idea of how much or little The Detroit Red Wings and/or Yzerman value Sundqvist. The cookie cutter approach only gets you so far.

And it’d really easy to make a player like Sundqvist expendable. He isn’t a big game changer but he certainly does help out. But I guess if there is a big bidding market for him than a price would get paid. A second right now seems a bit high to get Sundqvist.

A team isn't made of all game breakers look at TB and Colorado both have 3rd and 4th liners contributing and its the reason they are in the finals. Now since coming to Detroit Sundqvist's ppg .44 and that's actually pretty good for a 3rd or 4th line player plus he likes to throw his body around as well. So maybe he is a player Detroit wants to hang on to. So now do you see what I'm saying.

And Detroit has the players that can play that 3rd/4th line role as well. Sundqvist isn’t the only one. The only player that the Avs payed a big price for to be apart of their bottom 6 is Lehkonen. Except for Tampa Bay. They gave up a lot to have the core they have now.
