No Schneider/Othmann, No Miller. It's hilarious that every half-decent prospect for the Rangers is untouchable until their value is tanked.

And Nemeth is arguably the worst regular NHLer in the league, not to mention a cap dump

The Rangers offered Lundkvist a 1st and Chytil at the trade deadline. The Canucks declined. Your trade is worse.

Miller is not a viable long term option for the Rangers. They couldn’t afford to extend him.

This would be a win-now trade but, I agree with you. I personally think PIT is a better trade partner for both teams.

The Rangers aren’t good enough to win now. It’s foolish to think they could take out a team like Colorado.

To be fair, JT Miller is now a worse asset than he was at the deadline. 2 playoff runs vs 1 playoff run.

The Rangers have the best contract in hockey (Igor) for the next 3 years. That's the window.

Not it isn’t. Save for Kreider, Mika, Panarin, Trouba and Goodrow. The core of the team for the next half decade is 26 and under in Igor, Fox, Miller, Schneider, Lindgren, Laf, Chytil, Kakko and hopefully Kravtsov. That’s not even mentioning guys like Berard, Jones, Othmann, Cuylle, Korczak, Lundkvist and Robertson who are even younger. As far as I see it, they need 1 more young top 6 center. They do that and they’re set long term. The older core of the team will continue to train the younger core of the team to eventually take over and lead the team into the next decade. It’ll be like a Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa type situation in Chicago where they were still very good, but older than guys like Kane and Toews. I’m not saying the Rangers will have anywhere near that level of success, but I can honestly see it happening like that.

And in '25-'26 they'll be paying Igor 10+ per year and it's gonna feel like Hank all over again.

If they do that you let him walk. Those who don’t remember history are doomed to repeat it. Goalies are not worth that kind of money. If that were the case Hank or Price would’ve won, but guess what they can’t do it themselves. No one is bigger than the team.
