Sharks decline. Burns is a pillar of the franchise. He sells jerseys + tickets and there's almost no cap relief considering Burnzie's contract expires 2 years before OEL's

Swap out Karlsson for Burns and SJ would add the pick back.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm just brainstorming what could work to move OEL.

Why would Van do this? Taking on extra salary with an older player and giving up a pick? Even with OEL's longer contract, (and full NTC, he's not going to SJ) he's still a serviceable d-man, good for 30 points, showed a decent two-way game this year. SJ doesn't want to do this, Van doesn't want to do this.

Burns is a right-hand D and has 2 years less in his contract.
