MTL doesn’t need any more mid round picks and retaining salary for zacha…not gunna happen lol. I think a lot of people on this page will be very surprised at the return Anderson will bring if he does get traded

Bro, chill.

It's basically the same 5 Habs fans here posting different versions of the same unrealistic trade. They don't speak for the fanbase. Anderson's a good player, but he doesn't get you 2OA and MTL doesn't seem to be a match for a NJD trade.

The chatter was that Habs were fielding calls for Anderson, but they weren't shopping him. Hughes reportedly asking more than market value is par for the course for any GM who doesn't necessarily want to trade a player he considers important to his club. If you or I were GM's in this situation, we'd say/do the same thing.

For what it's worth, I don't believe NJD will trade the 2OA. It hasn't been done in the cap era and probably won't happen this year. What Fitz said about listening to calls is just more GM-speak, same as Hughes.

Let's just move on and quit nitpicking and insulting one another. You guys have lots of high-end talent on the roster and should be fun and competitive for a long time. Enjoy it and don't listen/assume that a handful of ppl on a website speak for a whole city.

Take care.

Less than zero chance Montreal accepts this. We are not retaining salary on Anderson in any case and Anderson is getting overvalued at the moment so I’m sure we could get more than this for him

I'll never be surprised at an NHL GM wildly overvaluing what Josh Anderson brings to the table.

sub-replacement level players who scored over 20 goals exactly one time but hits? he's 10000% getting a first rounder at the deadline.
