Let's not kid ourselves on one thing though: this team would be absolutly screwed cap wise (even though it is obviously way better). You'd be losing Kadri, Marchment and Campbell.

They might have beaten tampa with this lineup, for sure, and made it to the finals. I just can't see them, even this team, beating Colorado though. That team is absolutly stacked.

As for trading players, sure, but you're still losing players regardless and the team would be WAAAY worse next season.

Every time theres a Leafs post with an Avs trade its either 1) sending Holl to COL for a pick, or 2) undoing the Kadri trade/sending Kerfoot back to COL

If you really want to twist the knife, the trade where Toronto dumped Marleau's deal in Carolina gave the Canes Seth Jarvis and Alexander Pashin.
