I don't think you will have to trade for Bear. Doesn't sound like Carolina is going to extend him a qualifying offer at 2.4mil. He likely becomes a UFA on July 13th. If someone does trade for his rights it will probably be a later pick.

Myers also has a lot more value than Hamnoic, do i think he gets dealt? probably not, how ever i was replying to the comment that said bad players don't get assets, sometimes they do, a 6ft8 RHD that can play 20 minutes a night is more attractive than you think

Tyler Minors isn’t worth much but it just takes one dumb team, hell, the Canucks actually signed him to that deal that was thoroughly critiqued from day 1. Most Canucks fans I know hated the deal from the start not sure why you are defensive about it. Trust us we all know he’s not this absolute drag like many make him out to be but he ain’t good and he’s making too much money. He shouldn’t be in anyones top4. Bottom pair he’d be nice

See I genuinely disagree with the take that he shouldn't be in the top 4. He averages 22 mins a night which is 1st pair ice time. If he was able to slot in on a roster playing 2nd line minutes as a number 4 guy I think he would actually be quite effective. Guys like Marino, Carlo, Manson play 18-20 minutes a night and I think if Myers were slotted into that role he'd be more than competent.
