Like the addition of Forsberg, but don’t see any way he gets $10M from CAR

Forsberg can't get 8 years unless its a trade before FA. Also don't see him getting more than 9.5

Another thought on Forsberg and the unlikelihood he comes to CAR - he’s going to want most of his $$$ or at least a large portion of it in the form of signing bonuses, all the big name UFAs expect that. Dundon doesn’t do signing bonuses, unless it’s for spite (Kotkaniemi’s $20) or he’s forced to (Aho’s OS and Svechnikov agreeing to 8yrs).

The fact that the Canes don’t do bonuses pretty much will always disqualify them from being in the running for the biggest name UFAs.

What if (as mentioned) you don’t do the EDM deal, keep TDA…and throw more cash at Forsberg, but see if he will take a 2 year deal. Maybe like 10.5x2 or 11x2. Sell him on a two year window. He is young enough that he could still cash in long term at 29/30 on this next deal when the cap should be increasing…

Don't see why Edmonton would do something like that.

The point is that TDA is going to get more than $4.5M probably closer to $6M. This way Barrie can serve as a TDA replacement, and provides additional salary for others.

I didn't figure out anything with Bear. I guess in this case, they could either include him in a trade (Arizona) or get a pick for him.

This is the trade I would like to see for Chychrun as a Coyotes fan. I have proposed the same before, so it is good to see a Canes fan offer it too.
