Nashville doesn’t need the retention if Johansen goes the other way

If Johansen goes the other way, we don’t need Kane because we don’t have a center for him (especially with glass as part of the trade as well).

Philly takes one year of a guy who’d be their 3rd line centre and give up 5OA and a promising prospect? Lol

5 salary retentions is 2 more than the legal limit btw

So Chicago trades DeBrincat for Byfield and a first and a second and takes on $6.7 million in ugly cap in exchange for Robertson and Winnipeg's third? What's wrong with this picture?

Yep. of course they do. They would like to get rid of Mrazek salary, and Robertson and 3rd may not do it, just for that part. But then they get Quick for free, at that cap hit? Not a good deal for the Hawks.
