Oilers Realistic Holland Classic

Created by: ozzybomb
Team: 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 24, 2022
Published: Jun. 24, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Bourgault might be ready to go if he plays like he is in the qmjhl and Mem cup. Holloway on the team makes too much sense aswell as Skinner. Broberg and Benson should graduate. GMs around the league are apparently ridiculously high on Barrie. No sense in bringing back Puljujarvi when yo have Holloway and Bourgault both graduating and will both play wing. Mcleod back on a bridge deal. Keith and Bouchard both plays top 4 minutes but on the lesser side with more going to Hakanpaa and Broberg. Nurse returns from injury and is top form with Ceci. Husso is a no brainer. Foegele will be dealt as the younger options are better. Kane returns for the minimum he will take. Anybody that thinks he will return for less than seven is wrong. Derek Ryan played 4th line center last year and will be serviceable with Lazar and Benson. Nugent-Hopkins can run both Second and third line minutes with holloway running opposite with him. If keith decides that is it for him use his money to trade along with Puljujarvi, 1sts and one of Lavoie and Tullio to Arizona for Chychurun. Kassian bought out because obviously.

While i'm one of the Hawks fans that really likes JP, I don't see them moving a very early 2nd round pick in a deep draft year, given the rebuild, for a 24 year old player especially since they are open to trading Cat for top prospects and picks.

Could also be the Tampa second which is later in the draft, almost a third at that point.

I actually love the idea of grabbing PJ. But, like ChiHawk, I don't see CHI using futures to acquire him. If Edmonton has interest in Kubalik or Strome, we could swap RFA's.

Assuming the Foegele trade is "to whomever will accept him" because we have no room for more forwards here.
