Arizona wanted a 1st and got nothing, what does that tell you? Crouse is a 3rd or 4th liner on a good team.

Leafs would much rather just sign Mikheyev to that deal instead of giving up a 1st for a worse player

No reason for Nashville to do that trade......Wouldn't Lyubushin and Nashville be better off if they just got together and signed in Nashville for 1.75m?
Rather have Kerfoot (and his ability at centre) at 3.5m for one year and the first rounder than Crouse at 3.5m.....
But give you credit you made a cap compliant team, though IMO Mrzarek isn't really tradable for so little.

It's a fair but fans will jump down your throat because the Leafs are always supposed to get screwed on here or it's a bad trade.

A paper thin goalie market and the fact that Mrazek has 300 NHL games of good play is going to make his value better than anyone on here thinks.

Changed it to give boosh as much as possible I think he might take some off bc where else can he play top pair on a contender so then nash settles on holl who’s a righty who can pk for essentially free

No reason for Nashville to do it? They get Holl and a pick for a guy who is going to be bought out.

But doesn't Nashville get the superior Dman if they were sign Lybushin for 1.75m...and Lybushin gets more money too than signing for the Leafs? C'mon the sixth rounder is meaningless in the trade.

He's a young cost controlled backup that has taken on a starter role with halfway decent results and has potential to get better. A 3rd and a C level prospect aren't going to have any impact on the caps. I'd want a second round pick at the very least and even then I'd rather just hold onto him.

It was the original post. Not saying this post, but haven't we seen hundreds of post where 2m Holl is traded for an asset, then the by miracle signings Lybushin for 1.5m
Saskleaf liked this.

I think Lyu will also sign for 2 mil. Not sure what team. Holl is probably traded for like a 5th rounder or something.
