Description
Can Allvin and Rutherford recruit Malkin if he hits the UFA market? Would certainly be a solid replacement for Miller, especially if we could add Slafkovsky as well.

Will be easier to trade Pearson and Myers with one year left on their deals. So I would leave that until the next offseason.

Jersey isn't trading the 2nd pick for Miller he doesn't fit the timeline of their youth similar to Vancouver

Miller will be 30 when his new deal kicks in, And he doesn't fit in the timeline of the Devils young core. So NJD pass.

I actually don't mind Dumba and this type of trade wouldn't shock me even though I think garland is the better player. Only thing with Dumba is he's basically in the same position as Myers. A 4th dman that's been deployed like a top pair dman and gets a bit overwhelmed by it.

Only way the garland for dumba deal works is if dumba agrees to an extension at a decent pay cut or the wild add a 1st

Dumba is a #2 and does just fine on the top pair. He and Myers are nothing alike and definitely not in similar positions.

No they really are. Dumba is a bit better than Myers but not by very much. Both guys are deployed as top pairing dmen but get caved in playing that role. Both are fine players but need to be a 4th dman to be most effective.
