If we cannot keep Paul and Palat, I'd prioritize Palat.

It saves you ~0.6 mil in cap space to buy him out.

But it also costs 0.6 mil next year so I don’t think it would be smart for Tampa to do this. They are screwed next year cap wise.

If McDonagh doesn't take a trade, his buyout number is <$1M in 23-24.

Defense is not the problem. Don't need Bear. Just resign Ruttu who is very serviceable and save cap space.

Not a fan of robbing Peter to pay Paul (not Nick) with Myers acquisition.

Bottom 6 is fine relatively speaking. Don't need Janmark. It's the top 6 that needs a pair of fresh legs.

Killorn is the one to trade but it won't be easy. The 2022 first might have to come into play with Killorn to bring someone in to add some juice to that top 6.

It will be very easy to trade Killorn for value, should they choose. One bad playoffs does not negate the solid value he has, with a reasonable cap hit for one year. Palat is likely kept and if Paul walks, there are other ufas that Tampa can go after for the middle/bottom 6. There will likely be one or two promotions from Syracuse as needed, and Hagel likely gets a spot in the top 6 replacing Killorn(or perhaps it will be Colton).

    I did not know that.

Still, Cereli, Cernak, Serg, Foote and Colton are going to cost way more than their previous salaries plus the 6 mil from McDon.
