Pretty sure if you want Keller the Coyotes are gonna want someone like Stutzle in the package, which the Sens would not do. Don't think these teams are good trade partners

There’s no way Keller would ever return Stutzle. Stutzle is going to be a point per game 1C if not better. That’s silly talk.

Keller would return 7th overall + a couple of good prospects. That’s it

Omfg keller is not worth remotely close to Stu 1 for 1, fiala who is leagues better and more consistent than keller only got the wild a mid round first and a B prospect

If Hamonic is your #1 RHD, I'd be going after Chychrun instead of Keller.

I agree with both of you, I'm just speaking from the Coyotes standpoint. They have exactly 4 players that bring them any sort of revenue with merch sales, and one of them is already likely gone soon (Chychrun). They would want someone back who could sell just as much merchandise, and none of the players listed in the trade bring that.

Keller is probably named captain this year. I doubt they move him. Could try your luck with Schmaltz though

Id definitely pay more for Keller than Fiala, and I would gladly pay more than above for Keller.

Keller has 6 more years term already locked in at a very reasonable price and he is younger.

I would think that the 7 OA and brown really move the needle here and Thompson is a great prospect that fills the whole Chychrun is going to leave.
It is a bit heavy a return for him, but from a coyotes perspective you also need roster players you have very few for next season, and most UFA's and RFA's are not gonna sign because of the rink issue.
You could very well get 4 roster players from this deal if the 7 OA makes the team.

From the Sens perspective it does help move Zaitsev out and you get a true top 6 offensive talent to play long term with Stuzle. I like the move of adding Giroux for 3 years until another prospect like Greig, or Boucher is ready to move up and having Batherson on the wing with Stuzle. This also opens up For the bottom 6 to be what you have which is ideal. The Pinto line I really hope we see for most of the games this coming season. The Speed and the line matching that they would get I would think would open them up for a lot of great secondary scoring. Also, the Giroux deal and the Keller deal leave a lot of room to get Stuzlte, Sanderson, and others extended long-term.

On Hamonic being in the top pairing, it really doesn't matter because you just need a stay-at-home guy and let Chabot run, he is going to play with multiple partners every game because of the minutes he plays, that being said I would prefer Zub to be playing with him they did look really well last year. I would also add that the sens should bring Branny back, but they also need to play him. I Ideally would like to see him get games playing with Sanderson, I really believe they would have great chemistry and could become a true 2nd or even 1B pairing for years.
